Arthur J. Fischer oral history collection
This interview surveys the life and career of Dr. Arthur J. Fischer (1913-2002), an otolaryngologist who practiced in Las Cruces (1958-1965) and at Albuquerque's Lovelace Clinic (1965-1978). Among the subjects discussed are Dr. Fischer's personal and professional backgrounds; his practice years in Las Cruces; the foundation of the University of New Mexico School of Medicine; the Lovelace Clinic in the 1960s and 1970s; and others.

Collection consists of the scrapbooks of New Mexico Governor Arthur Seligman, 1930-1933. Clippings represent newspapers throughout New Mexico and reflect the activities of Seligman as governor. Subjects include; politics, pardons, education, official appointments, veterans, the economy, the National Recovery Administration, and other related topics. The collection is rich in clippings pertaining to the National Miners' Union Strike of 1933 in Gallup, New Mexico.

One ledger of the Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad Company (ATSF) containing ca. 450 pages of payroll information listing payees' names, locations, departments, and pay. Ledger covers the Rio Grande and Pecos railroad areas including parts in Colorado. Payees are generally separated geographically and by departments such as "Mechanical," "Engineers," "Firemen," "Enginemen," "Signal and Telegraph," etc.

Atlantic and Pacific Railway Photograph Collection
Collection consists primarily of photographs (cyanotype prints) documenting the construction in 1881-1883 of the Atlantic and Pacific Railway, from Albuquerque, through Arizona, to Needles, Calif. In addition to scenes of railroad construction that include bridges, tracks, and campsites, there are many photographs shot in Albuquerque and the surrounding mountains, a number of these include picnics and outings.
