Fray Angélico Chávez History Library's WPA New Mexico Collection
Most of the New Mexico WPA stories were collected among Hispanic and Anglo Americans across the state. They contain folk tales, songs, customs, town histories and biographies of pioneer leaders. Some stories relate to Native American topics; a few materials pertain to African Americans and Chinese immigrants.

This small collection of early photographs created in the Las Vegas area includes photos by James Furlong, Theron Crispell, and also their joint efforts under Furlong and Crispell. Images are listed by negative number and brief description. Also included in the collection are 32 glass plate negatives. Furlong and Crispell images are designated with an (FC).

George Adlai Feather was a Rhodes Scholar, historian, and nurseryman, serving as Professor of Languages at New Mexico College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (present-day New Mexico State University) from 1923-1937.

George P. Hammond Collection
This collection contains three volumes of a detailed manuscript written by George Peter Hammond entitled "Navajo-Hopi Relations," which addresses the history of these two tribes between 1540 and 1956. The subtext speaks to the role of the U.S. government and military, missionaries, and other tribes in those relations.

Guide to the Bruce T. Ellis Collection
The Bruce T. Ellis Collection consists of various original and photostatic copies of the Spanish, Mexican and American period of New Mexico's history. Ellis, a former employee of the Museum of New Mexico's History Bureau, collected and saved many of these diverse documents from destruction. The collection is arranged topically and then chronologically.
