Abstract
This is a collection of League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) documents gathered by Joseph W. Trujillo, who was secretary of Council 212 in Los Alamos. He was also LULAC Governor for New Mexico from 1954 to 1955 and later voted the "Outstanding LULAC Man of the Year." This collection contains original documents about national and regional LULAC policies and activities during the time that Trujillo was an active leader in New Mexico LULAC.

Ken Kamerman was the State Senator from the 20th District of New Mexico from 1987 to 1992. A local business administrator heavily involved in civic affairs and Republic Party politics, Senator Kamerman was a principled legislator who advocated against excessive taxation. The collection consists of legislation, memoranda, correspondence, press clippings, and business papers derived from Kamerman’s legislative and professional life.

Collection consists of photocopies of both Carson's will and his certificate of appointment as an Indian agent; the original of his oath of allegiance to the U.S. as a Lt. Colonel; newspaper clippings on Carson. Also included is a photocopy of A.W. Thompson's essay "The Story of Camp Nichols." Carson established Camp Nichols in the Oklahoma panhandle to protect travelers on the Santa Fe Trail.
