Abercrombie Family Mercantile Papers,

Scope and Content Collection consists of account books, three wholesale catalogues, one ranch ledger, a record book for the Acqueia de Anton Chico, a political scrapbook (ca. 1924), a survey map of the family property, and miscellaneous family papers. The three wholesale catalogues are from C.H. Hyer & Sons (Kansas), Hendrie & Bolthoff Co., and John Wyeth & Brother (Philadelphia).

Some materials are in Spanish.

Armijo and Gallagher families papers

Abstract The Armijo and Gallagher families papers include personal, business and legal documents primarily concerning Nestor Armijo’s involvement in mercantile and ranching interests during the late-1800s in southern New Mexico. The bulk of the papers document how the Armijo family established itself as one of the most well-known mercantile families of territorial New Mexico. A good deal of material pertains to the Armijo home, which is on the National Register of Historic Places.

Abstract Contains assorted items belonging to Las Vegas, New Mexico state senator DeWitt C. Reynolds. Included in the collection are notebooks, a Directory of the Thirteenth State Legislature of New Mexico, a horse notebook, livestock contract and vouchers. Also includes two photographs, several ration stubs and a few receipts.
