GOODBYE, MONIQUE (95), November 30, 2017

 File — Box: 194, Folder: 17

Scope and Contents

Childhoods, BOOK ONE, Aftermath, and epilogue, same as #94 just above and also labelled Jmonique.20d. I sent this draft on January 11, 2018, to my friend Bill Rusin in New York (Head of Sales at W.W.Norton publishing company), because he asked me to. This folder includes Xeroxes of photos of Pop and Monique and other family that I always included when I asked friends to read the book. Rusin read 88 pages and told me on the phone "it reads like the phone book." His reply letter is included here, dated August 8, 2018. I decided (once again!) to just frickin' give up on New York. I'm not a player anymore! (Duh.) 342 pages.
