POCKET NOTEBOOKS, 1980-2010

 Series

Scope and Contents

I often took notes in pocket notebooks, of things to do, lists, notes for novels, field notes when hiking, random thoughts, and so forth. I discarded a lot of the notebooks, only a few of them remain. For years I also took field notes on envelopes (See ENVELOPE DIARY FILES), and at some point began using tiny tape recorders and transcribing them in type.

Other of my pocket notebooks are scattered throughout these archives larely in the MANUSCRIPT FILES. I have numbered the ones here on their covers, and put a brief synopsis of the contents on the inside of the covers.
