Scope and Contents

1.) 3 B&W photos of friend Edith Frendo, a Morroccan-French girl, and her pal, Jean-Pierre, and a note to me from Jean-Pierre in 1961. Photos on L.I., N.Y. Edith's letters are elsewhere in these archives. 2.) 4 color pictures of girlfriend Kathy Clark, 1961. On Cape Cod with me; and on a boat (S/S Zuiderkruis) in N.Y. with her mom, Charlotte and me, on June 22, 1961. Also a visitor's pass for that boat on that day. 3.) 1 B&W photo of me dancing with a French friend, Francoise Virgile, on New Year's Eve 1962 in Alicante, Spain. 4.) 1 B&W photo (in late 1962 or early 1963) of me with my friend, Juanito, in a flamenco bar in Barcelona, with two of the Mégerlin girls, Biket and Bibou. (I was in love with their sister, Claude Mégerlin, who I met in Alicante, summer 1962). 5.) 6 color photos of me on beach in Alicante, summer 1964, with my French girlfriend (of that summer) Chantal Motte. And another French girl. In one B&W picture Chantal and I are dancing in a night club.

Access Restrictions

The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
