Scope and Contents
The contents include: 1.) 44 pages of research for my novel, The Voice of the Butterfly, about the year 1998, a national and international diary from September 1, 1988 to Election Day on Tuesday, November 8, 1988, when George H.W. Bush defeated Dukakis. This was the original time frame for Voice of the Butterfly. 2.) 5 pages of notes taken in April 1995 from Frances Trujillo about her dad, my old Upper Ranchitos neighbor, Tom Trujillo, who had just died. (See my eulogy for TOM TRUJILLO on April 26, 1995 in my EULOGY FILES.) 3.) 2 pages about hunting and collecting nature stuff as a child. 4.) 7 pages of a preface to my non-fiction book, On The Mesa, for its reissue by Santa Fe's Ancient City Press in 1995.

Access Restrictions
The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
