Scope and Contents

This notebook contains: 1.) Many of my dream journals from autumn, 1990, scattered throughout. I typed up these dreams and included them in my JOURNAL/DIARY FILES under DREAMS 1990-1991. 2.) 27 pages of my journal/Diary from September 28-October 5, 1990. 3.) Around 30 pages throughout on my novel An Elegy for September (Published 1992). 4.) Numerous lists of slides for my book, Keep It Simple (published in 1993). 5.) About 30 pages of riffing for The Voice of the Butterfly. 6.) 17 pages of notes for an obituary of Stephanie Sonora, who died of cancer in December 1990, age 58. My novel, The Magic Journey, is dedicated to her. These obituary notes include interviews about Stephanie with Rena Rosequist, Peggy Beck, Peggy Nelson, Shel Hershorn, Kathleen Altman, Earl Stroh, and Wolcott Ely. Access Restrictions

The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
