Abstract

This collection contains correspondence, news clippings, concert programs, and sheet music from the UNM Music Department’s files and includes sheet music and a notebook from Grace Edmister, an early chair of the department, and an article about her. Much of the sheet music is transcribed, traditional Hispanic and Native American songs.

UNM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Records

Abstract

The University of New Mexico's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department was founded in 1906. Throughout the years, the department has grown and inculdes research labs for such things as robotics, hearing aid research and artificial intelligence, as well as the Centennial Science and Engineering library. The bulk of the collection includes meetings and reports from the 1980s, and many photogrphs from the 1960s.

USS Santa Fe (CL-60) Collection

William Blackmore Collection

Scope and Content The Blackmore Collection includes promotional and research material documenting his investment concerns. Blackmore was instrumental in publishing books about the Southwest, Spanish land grants, Mexican land law and United States Territorial law regarding land grants. 1932 Barbara Aitken, an anthropologist who worked with Edgar Lee Hewett, secured the Blackmore Papers for the Historical Society of New Mexico. William T. Lumpkins Papers

This collection includes William Lumpkins' diplomas and certificates, promotional material relating to his artistic and architectural pursuits as well as personal correspondence.

The approximately 5,000 architectural drawings are accessed through a separate inventory organized by job number. There is also an alphabetically arranged list organizing the architectural drawings by job number with client and location information.

Winfield Fletcher Collection of New Mexico Mining Records

Scope and Content Collection consists primarily of materials relating to the Tres Piedras Mining Company, including stock certificates and letters. Also within the collection are a newspaper clipping on fraudulent claims to the Canon del Agua land grant, an 1889 stock certificate from the Consolidated Mining and Investment Co., and a handwritten description (by an unknown author) of the Las Trampas land grant with an emphasis on the timber located there.
