Historical Note

The Campus Community Coalition (CCC) was a UNM chartered group involving and addressing the community and campus. Members ranged from students to professionals, immediate UNM neighbors to fellow Albuquerque residents. The CCC wanted to work with UNM to ensure that planning for a new bookstore by the administration involved community and campus members, assessed parking and traffic impact, examined the effects on local booksellers, and did not destroy Yale Park. The CCC partnered with the Albuquerque Booksellers Coalition to work toward these goals in the development of the UNM bookstore on campus.

Abstract

The UNM Campus Community Coalition opposed the development of a proposed bookstore on campus; the group wanted the UNM administration to include student and community input. This collection includes student and community generated meeting agendas, minutes, flyers, announcements, petitions and clippings.
