The Bruce T. Ellis Collection consists of various original and photostatic copies of the Spanish, Mexican and American period of New Mexico's history. Ellis, a former employee of the Museum of New Mexico's History Bureau, collected and saved many of these diverse documents from destruction. The collection consists of an invitation to a ball given by the Santa Fe Germania Club. The invitation is addressed to William T. Sherman, General of the U.S. Army.
