Father Elmer Niemeyer Arroyo Seco Film Collection

Scope and Contents The collection consists of seven reels of 16mm film. The total running time of the films is 1:59:19. The original 16mm films have been reformatted to one DVD for researcher use. The films document the work of the “Veterans School for Carpenters” as well as depicting various church and community events and people from La Santísima Trinidad parish and neighboring communities.

Finding Aid of the Ruth Fornoff Apodaca Photograph Collection

Abstract This collection contains photographs taken by Ruth Apodaca from 1995-2000. She was a member of several Albuquerque photography clubs. They show various landscapes, historic sites and museums in New Mexico that she and the clubs visited. Most images are in color, but some are black and white. They go beyond the tourist view and are good representations of many locations in the state in the 1990s.

Scope and Content This small collection consists primarily of reminiscences of Flora Spiegelberg, including original typewritten manuscripts of brief articles and published articles. Also included is a manuscript about Flora Spiegelberg and the Spiegelberg family written in 1975. The articles by Spiegelberg primarily concern life in the Territory of New Mexico in the late 19th century. Other articles are about New York City where the Spiegelbergs lived after leaving New Mexico.
