Folder topics include building materials such as Concrete, Petroleum Products and Seeding, document types such as Quotations, Test Certificates and Contracts, or names such as New Mexico State Highway Department, Lovato Pit, etc. There are 13 projects, all occurring in the western half of the state.

Scope and Content The discipline of engineering and related fields has a long evolution at New Mexico Highlands University. Viewed from one perspective, it dates back to the early part of the twentieth century, when the university offered courses in “Manual Training.” Such courses became part of the “Industrial Education” program in the 1930s. Engel Bert Van de Greyn Documents

Scope and Content Collection contains Van de Greyn's passport created in 1921 for travels into Mexico. Passport contains a photo of Van de Greyn. Also included is Van de Greyn's certificate to practice Professional Engineering and Land Surveying in New Mexico. One of Mr. Van de Greyn's works, the Don Gaspar Bridge in Santa Fe, has been put on the National Historic Places [transfer 11290/45]

UNM Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Records

Abstract The University of New Mexico's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department was founded in 1906. Throughout the years, the department has grown and inculdes research labs for such things as robotics, hearing aid research and artificial intelligence, as well as the Centennial Science and Engineering library.
