The Michael Welsh collection contains unpublished chapters from his unfinished history of the University of New Mexico.

This collection primarily contains writings, research, and correspondence, spanning Nancy Wood’s fifty year career as a professional writer.

Collection consists of the papers of Nathan Howard "Jack" Thorp. The bulk of the collection consists of undated cowboy songs, poems, riddles, and short stories. Included are New Mexican folk songs and documents pertaining to New Mexico saints and feast days. Also within the collection is a letter concerning editing of Thorps manuscripts (1936).

A photocopy of Sheldon Reich's biography on Randall Davey. Collection also includes Reich's correspondence concerning his research for the Randall Davey biography and a fourteen page version of the biography. These papers were among the Randall Davey material the National Audubon Society donated to the Chávez History Library.

The Theron Marquis Trombeau papers include manuscripts, publications, correspondence and journals written between 1927 and 1979. Trombeau wrote extensively about southern New Mexico. He also wrote fiction, poetry, newspaper columns and essays. Some of his works explore homosexuality.

Included are letters, correspondence, newspaper articles pertaining to their careers, professional papers and notes. Additionally, collection contains Thomas E. Chávez's school and professional notes, manuscripts, and proofs of published works.

This collection contains materials pertaining to Virginia Hyde, her research and writings about D. H. Lawrence, and her work on the nomination of the D. H. Lawrence Ranch to the National Register of Historic Places.
