Adolph Bandelier Collection

Adolph Francis Alphonse Bandelier Sketches

Abstract The collection consists of 1 roll of tracings of Indian ruins made evidently in 1882 by Adolph Bandelier, and about 34 sheets of varying sizes with 158 individual sketches from his journals, as well as 11 laminated reprints.

Benjamin Morris Thomas Collection

Scope and Content Collection consists of some 300 early images by various photographers of primarily southwestern Indian subjects, printed in a variety of formats and sizes (cabinet cards, stereos, boudoir cards, etc.) from the 1870s through 1912. Charles H. Lange Collection

Scope and Content Collection contains drafts/transcriptions for the Adolph Bandelier diaries covering 1885 - 1892 (published in four volumes by the University of New Mexico Press). Included are transcripts of Bandelier material from 1880 - 1891 prepared by A. J. O. Anderson and Fanny Bandelier. A file of approximately 820 index cards with names is also included.

Father Agnellus Lammert Pictorial Collection

Fényes-Curtin-Paloheimo Collection

Abstract This collection documents the lives of three generations of one family, grandmother, Eva Scott Muse Fényes, mother, Leonora S.M. Curtin, and daughter, Leonora Curtin Paloheimo. The personal papers of the women contain extensive correspondence, diaries, thousands of photographs, business and financial documents, travel records, scrapbooks, clippings, and ephemera.

Jesse L. Nusbaum Collection

Scope and Content Materials included original 5 x 7 glass plate negatives, 5 x 7 vintage prints, and nitrate film negatives of various sizes. Many of the vintage 5 x 7 contact prints have notes on the back written in pencil by Jesse Nusbaum and notes in ball point pen by his wife, Rosemary Nusbaum. There are also other notes in unidentified handwriting in both pen and pencil on the back of the photographs. Some 5 x 7 vintage photos have a small stamp on bottom edge: MEJ Colter or H. H. John K. Hillers Collection

Scope and Content Collections consists of original prints, with some duplicates, of New Mexico scenes, Pueblos and their inhabitants, Arizona, landscapes, and archaeological sites, most dating to 1879-1880. There are 50 duplicate prints in the collection, as many as four copies of some. All are albumen prints, stereoviews, many mounted on card stock, some printed with geologic survey graphics. There are also a number of prints used in the exhibition at the 1915 San Diego World Exposition.
