From the Series: Abstract: 10/10/2013. In tape 1, Roanhorse discusses his early life and social challenges within the Navajo Nation. He begins talking about the political position and issues that are unique to the Navajo Nation. In tape 2, he relates the history and government politics to his academic interests and shares his experience in working as an intern in Washington D.C. for Senator Bingaman. He then discusses how his academic life influenced his professional life and his involvement in tribal government.
