THREE-RING NOVEL NOTES, 1974

 File — Box: 131, Folder: 39

Scope and Contents

These hand-written notes (pages 1-50) are from a 9 x 6 Three-Ring notebook I kept in 1974. The first 29 pages are historical doings from 1935, 1945, and 1953 (execution of the Rosenbergs) intended as background to the life of Morrie Gluckman, my chief protagonist in the never-published novel, Number 25 (See BOXES 18 AND 19 IN MANUSCRIPT FILES). Pages 30-37 include gangster and Yiddish slang words for Number 25. Pages 38-45 could be notes for The Nirvana Blues. Pages 46-49 are from a Tres Rios Association meeting on June 30, 1974 presided over by my friend Andrés Martínez. Page 50 records, at intervals, the mileage on my VW Bus starting with my trip back from Connecticut in January 1974 and ending on June 10, 1974 in Taos. This folder has a total of 50 pages.
