Scope and Content

From the Collection: This Collection consists of drawings, paintings and notes of Theron M. Trombeau; curricula of Sleepy Burro School of Art; instructional materials; bulletins; newsletters; and correspondence pertaining to the school activities. It also contains training exercises of Trombeau during his enrollment at Famous Artists School (Section II, infra.), and critiques of his artwork in response to the assignments given to him at that school.

Correspondence: undated letters from Edwin Eberman, Director of Famous Artists School, to Theron M. Trombeau. Welcome letter containing instruction; letter with information on entire course with 24 lessons; letter containing attachment of a list of former students; letter regarding painting supplies. Other correspondence includes letters from Famous Artists School to Trombeau from 12-21-56/3-23-59. Original art work by Trombeau is included in execution of assignments; Magazines included: Famous Artists Magazines from Winter, 1956 and Spring, 1957; Sketch books (2).
