Nice photos. Color. One in front of my Taos portal, 1985. One out on the western mesa smelling some flowers. Mel Howard was a good friend, actor (Hester Street), teacher, film director, AD. We worked on movies (never made) together. He was also good pals with my other Hollywood buddy, Leo Garen. Mel died of a liver transplant for hepatitis. Leo comitted suicide at age 71 in Cartagena, Columbia.
