This collection consists of 252 photographs and postcards from the Mexican Punitive Expedition led by Gen. John Pershing between 1916 and 1917 in the U.S. – Mexico borderland after Pancho Villa’s raid in Columbus, New Mexico. Most of the photographs show military encampments, troops, officers and their wives, and Gen. Charles Farnsworth during the expedition.
