Abstract This collection contains the records of the Valmora Industrial Sanatorium and papers of Dr. William T. Brown and Dr. Carl H. Gellenthien, its founder and medical director. The sanatorium represented healthcare in Mora County, New Mexico for over seventy years, first as a tuberculosis sanatorium with a hospital and 32 cottages and then as a community clinic.

Plans of New Mexico Dams and Hospitals

Scope and Content Collection consists of engineering drawings related to flood control and power dams in New Mexico. The following dams could be identified: El Vado dam, Chifflo dam, Ladron dam, Jaroso dam, Chamita dam, Jemez Creek dam. Also included are a number of unidentified construction drawings for what appears to be a military hospital. Several drawings have a written note "extra copy for S. Hess." Material is located with the map collection.

Richard R. Barr oral history collection

Scope and Contents Richard R. (Dick) Barr is interviewed by Fred R. Hanold M.D. about Mastercare, a managed care plan formed by Presbyterian and St. Joseph Hospitals in 1972 and discontinued in Dec. 1981. Mr. Barr became Administrator of Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque in 1969 and in 1978 was named Executive Vice President and Chief of Operations for Presbyterian Hospital Center and Southwest Community Health Services. He was elevated to President in 1981 and served in that post until his retirement in 1985....
