Scope and Content This collection consists of two series, containing approximately 135 half-sheet broadsides from Mexico. All the associated text is written in Spanish.In Series I, each broadside contains an illustration from either a zinc etching, a type-metal engraving, a woodcut, or a photograph. Peter T. Furst Photograph Collection

Abstract Peter T. Furst (1922-2015), a cultural anthropologist, college professor, and researcher, photographed and collected images of pre-Columbian and colonial Latin American, Native American, and Asian cultures and objects, as well as flora and fauna specimens. Furst used these images for his teaching and research. Collection also includes photographs by his wife, and some commercially produced slides.
