Scope and Content From the Collection: Documented in this collection is Maxine O. Dellinger Wootton’s research for her manuscript, "The History of Abdominal Surgery in New Mexico." Included in the collection are Mrs. Wootton’s correspondence with "old time" doctors in the area, hospitals and libraries, all relevant to early surgeries in New Mexico.
