Scope and Content From the Collection: The collection contains two lease indentures for property in and around London, England, one written in 1865 and the other in 1846. The first indenture describes the lease arrangement between John Henry Ellis Ridley and Robert Miller. In this agreement, Miller leased Ridley's property in the Battersea suburb of London. The lease was valued at ?80/year for 99 years, and it appears to be an extension of an earlier lease produced in 1775 between John Earl Spencer and Thomas Rhodes. The...
