Scope and Contents
This diary is the only from a pre-school class, sometimes called nursery school. The diary is for the entire year, not just the academic year. Attendance seems to be an issue -- the teacher states that there was only room for 30 children, but approximately 39 were enrolled, ranging in age from two to five, and more were on a waiting-list to enter. By the middle of the year the average attendance was twenty. All children were Spanish speakers and were being taught basic English and using phrases...
