Scope and Contents Mrs. Wetherill tells of: preparing and eating horsemeat, burro meat, prairie dog, describes method of making a food cooler at Pueblo Bonito; Navajos using horse fat and yucca to clean themselves; tanning hides with canaigre which also cures pyorrhea; going to Creede, Colorado during the drought of 1903 and son Robert born there - drove the horses and sheep there to keep them from starving and were caught in a heavy snow while returning.
