Born Oct. 5, 1876 in Illinois. Musical background of father and mother. Family went west in camping wagon in 1885. Camped behind church in Old Town and visited all the pueblos playing music for the Indians. Went to Arizona - meets Geronimo there and again at the St. Louis Fair. Tells of other early travels.
