Scope and Contents
Born November 16, 1877 on the Mimbres River. Moved to Cooks Peak and then to Deming when 8 years old. Graduated from the Normal School in Silver City (Prot. Light). Started bootlegging in Deming during prohibition and then got a license in 1933 and ran the Pioneer bar in her old boarding house until 1957. (See tape #189)
