Scope and Content From the Collection: The laminated reprints of paintings and sketches reflect the portions of Bandelier's expeditions reported to Dr. Norton and recorded in Bandelier's journals from the year 1880. The sketches reflect expeditions from a wider range of years (from 1880-1893). Some of these are also alluded to in Bandelier's letters to Norton and in his journals, in which, at times, he makes reference to having drawn the groundplots of particular ruins.
