Notes taken from transcription. Lee and Ramona. He comments on - that today Mike Kelly from CSWR visited him, picked up his photograph collection, and Ramona would pick up the accompanying documents, was happy they will be accessible to public and in good condition at the CSWR. Ramona was getting some new camera equipment for the interviews. They discuss different computer programs. She was filming Lee. Ramona asked Lee his opinion of Tony Hillerman, said he got lost in the stories, not clear enough, he generally did not like fiction, names authors he likes. Ramona asked Lee if Native resented Hillerman revealing secrets about them. Lee said he had not heard any criticism and that some Navajo were fans of Tony Hillerman. Historians had to be careful with tribal information. Lee and Ramona talk about diet and what foods they like. Lee comments of politics in Northern New Mexico, Rio Arriba County, E. Lee Francis, Sidney Gottlieb, getting votes. Lee tells story of his grandfather going to vote for Herbert Hoover in 1929, and he and Richard got sample ballots to pretend. Lee and Ramona discuss old movies. Lee had bought a new camera
