From the Collection:
The Harmon Percy Marble Photograph Collection is comprised of photographs primarily of Native American individuals and groups. Photographs focus on Navajo, Hopi, and Pueblo Indians of the Southwest, as well as Sioux and Menominee tribes. Photos depict dances, weaving, landscapes, dwellings, and other activities.
Identification of many of the photographs comes from Russell Hartman, Senior Collection Manager, Department of Anthropology, California Academy of Scince, San Francisco, via labels with the photos and via the Native American Images website. .
