Abstract: 1/31/2013. In tape of the interview, Imelda Baca discusses her family history and high school education. She outlines her professional experience and details the challenges of completing graduate work and parenthood. In tape two, she expands on her professional work as a teacher, special education teacher, and principle. She explains the importance of bilingual education and meaningful cultural education in the classroom. She concludes with insight regarding the role of family and the younger generation in influencing older generations to attend higher education.
