Scope and Contents

First entries record liquor stock on hand, succeeded by sash, blinds, doors, windows, etc. Flour House entries include corn, chili, barley, ristras chili, oats, etc. followed by an inventory of the yard that includes 6 wheel barrows, spokes (wagon wheel), wagon bows, etc. and the wholesale dry goods room where packs of pins are enumerated along with corset laces, silk handkerchiefs followed by crockery, etc. As Huning Mercantile was located in a small community where Huning was the major and perhaps the only retailer
