Scope and Content
From the Collection:
The Netherwood Park Neighborhood Association collection consists primarily of meeting agendas and minutes, legal documents, correspondence, and newspaper clippings. The meeting minutes and monthly newsletters provide information on important neighborhood issues such as crime rates and neighborhood functions. There are also maps of the neighborhood and site data for Netherwood Park created by University of New Mexico architecture students. Also included is documentation for the Crown Mining Company v. Miracerros Neighborhood court case concerning apartment development. There is documentation pertaining to La Selva de Albuquerque and the donation of land for a city park. The collection also contains a small amount of city and county correspondence mostly related to the recognition of the Netherwood Park Neighborhood Association as an official neighborhood association.
