GOODBYE, MONIQUE (96), June 25, 2018

 File — Box: 195, Folder: 2

Scope and Contents

BOOK ONE, labelled as Jmonique.20e. Beginning pages are focused on Pop and Monique at Peacock Point, and out at the Floyd estate. No mention of Monique as teenager at Peacock Point, or meeting Oqwa Pi in 1933, or going out west to Santa Fe and Soda Springs ranch. Toward end there's no mention of Dad's battle with Mamita for custody of me. And no mention of Monique "whitewash" from my life in the Epilogue. Otherwise, this is a clean draft that's close to the *final BOOK ONE draft I decided on later. Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose. 199 pages.
