APRIL-MAY 1994
File — Box: 136, Folder: 59
Scope and Contents
14 typed pages. Not journals, but rather 2 articles: "Down on the Rio Grande," and "The Longest Night of My Life." Written in April 1994, "Rio Grande" (6 pages) was published in my collected essays, Dancing on the Stones (2000), and in the Winter 2003 Wild on the Fly Magazine as "Heart Matters." It's about my failing heart, marriage, perhaps end of fishing the Rio Grande. "Longest Night"(8 pages) was published in Dancing on the Stones. It's a description of the frightening immediate aftermath of my open-heart surgery on May 3, 1994.
