Scope and Contents

This folder contains tour schedules, book advertisements and American Blood flyers, addresses, some reviews, letters from Bookstore owners and other ephemera and detritus from Juanita's and my American Blood book tour mentioned in the previous two notebooks and the April 29, 1987 folder listed immediately above. 53 numbered pages. First 36 pages with tour schedule and it's constant updates by Henry Holt publicist, Sarah McFall. Pages 37-53 deal with advertising flyers and letters connected to the tour. Unnumbered material contains newspaper articles and ads, more flyers, my envelope notes, business cards, plane tickets, hotel bills, the usual detritus. Some of my signings were connected to Viet Vets Against the War, poverty organizers, other political groups.

Access Restrictions

The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
