"MISSING" SNEAK PREVIEW, N.Y. AND PHILADELPHIA, December 1981

 File — Box: 136, Folder: 14

Scope and Contents

I went to Philadelphia with director, Costa-Gavras, and producer, Eddie Lewis, for a sneak preview of "Missing." My friends Alan Howard and Mike Kimmel, their wives, and my girlfriend Sylvia Landfair also came. Afterwards, I took a limo with Costa and Eddie Lewis to N.Y. My 15 seconds of the "big time." Costa and I stayed in the Westbury Hotel a few days working on script of The Magic City. I also visited the William Floyd estate out on Long Island with Mike Kimmel. This folder has 5 pages of plane schedules and notes related to the screening, New York chores, trip to Floyd Estate. Plus 8 envelope notes of schedules and plans. And an undated note from Jay Scott (formerly my friend Scott Beavan who did film and book reviews for the Albuquerque Journal), a film critic on Toronto's Globe and Mail. Why is this note in this file? I'm not sure.
