"STAR AND A HALF," HAMILTON SPECTATOR, 1966

 File — Box: 135, Folder: 34

Scope and Contents

I wrote these articles for the Hamilton Spectator in 1966 while I lived in New York City. (See some of these columns in BOX 4, FOLDERS 14-15.) This folder contains: 1.) 5 letters between me and Spectator editor, Guild Nichols, during Jan-Feb 1966. 2.) Clean carbons of my articles on: Spanish bullfighter Paco Camino; my 1964 trip to Guatemala; satire on the army and warfare; what life is like after college; anti Vietnam war; a battle description of battle in wartime; and a riff You Can't Walk in L.A. (which describes my problems with jay walking and cops during my first screen-writing trip to L.A. to work on The Sterile Cuckoo with Alan Pakula.)
