MISCELLANEOUS STUFF, LOOMIS/HAMILTON, 1959-1963

 File — Box: 135, Folder: 26

Scope and Contents

This folder contains notes; addresses; student receipt for a bill paid at Hamilton; pencil cartoon designs on an envelope for Alan Howard's and my 1962 Jest No greeting card business; my first hand-designed Xmas card; two pages of class notes on Liebniz, Spinoza, Descartes; note to me from Harvey Bricker, head of Pentagon (the Hamilton senior honor society that I was in) about a meeting (on the back of the note I scribbled absurd pun punchlines for my newspaper "humor" column, Just No Stories); addresses given to me by Ward Cheney the summer of 1961 about whom to call if the 4 Sutton Square penthouse he was loaning me (to write a novel) needed repairs; 1961 business card of Joe Maloney, friend of Brownie's, with his address at McCall's in Manhattan; and an obscene typed poem I wrote. Though meaningless to most folks, each of these scraps tells me a long story. 14 pieces of paper all told.
