Scope and Contents

This folder has: 1.) A graduation program. 2.) A copy of the June 6 school newspaper, The Loomis Log. (I helped write the long class poem in "Wry and Ginger" on p. 2. I'm mentioned in 2 track articles on p. 4. My citation for winning the Sportsmanship Prize is on p. 6, along with mention in various catagories of Senior Superlatives. One more mention on p. 7.) 3.) 5 congratulations cards from friends and girlfriend's family. 4.) The original Sportsmanship Prize citation given to me. 5.) Reference letter from Headmaster Francis Grubbs to a guy named Lafavour who owned West Hartford's Maplehill Restaurant where I washed dishes the summer of 1958. 6.) My Loomis diploma. 7.) Two address lists for my class of 1958. One done in August if 1958, one done October 1, 1961. Both 3 pages.

Access Restrictions

The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
