 File — Box: 134, Box: 134A

Scope and Contents

Brief notes of Europe trip article. 15 pages of thoughts for new novel Democracy in Action (later Voice of the Butterfly). 38 pages of thoughts for an article on the filming of my novel "The Wizard of Loneliness" in Bristol, Vermont, starting December 1, 1987. (See "WIZARD" FILM JOURNAL, DEC. 1-8, 1987 in my JOURNAL/DIARY FILES and my article "Snow Job" in Film Comment Magazine, October 1988.) Also in this notebook: Many pages with poems about Dancing on Rio Grande Boulders, Cats in Baskets, Disillusionment, The President of America, Statue of Jonathan Livingston Seagull in Tossa de Mar, Nonsense Poem, Apples in October, Grackles, and Stupid Poems. A rare (and forgettable) collection, since I've written so few poems in my life.
