PHONE MESSAGES, 1997
File — Box: 132
Scope and Contents
156 pages. I was supposed to return to Hamilton College for a week of workshops in January (or Feb?), but got very sick, and went back there in April instead. Worked on novels, screenplay for Midnight Return, wrote 2 articles for Audubon Magazine, including an elegy for my dad, "A Man for All Seasons." Visited my father in Smithville, TX with my 2 brothers in January, and by myself in November. Most of the phone messages seem personal from just a few friends; my professional life was slowing down.
