JEANNE ENGLERT, April 21, 2007

 File — Box: 131, Folder: 23

Scope and Contents

Jeanne Englert was a great activist/organizer. We met in early 1979 in Durango, Colorado, when I gave a benefit speech against the Animas-La Plata Project. After that, Jeanne and I corresponded for many years, mostly about the Animas-La Plata water/conservancy project. (See JEANNE ENGLERT in my GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE FILES.) Jeanne died in October 2006. Her memorial was at the Mount Princeton (CO.) Hot Springs on April 21, 2007. In this folder are: 1.) An invitation (still in its envelope) to the memorial from Tim Englert, Jeanne's husband. 2.) An obituary of Jeanne and a map to the Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort included with invitation. 3.) My April 12, 2007 letter to Tim Englert. 4.) 3 drafts, with corrections, of a long remembrance of Jeanne that I wrote for the memorial. (Pages in this file are numbered 1-43 at bottom of page.)
