Scope and Contents

Jim Terry was my buddy Doug Terry's father. He was from Texas and loved horses. Jim was riding his stallion in the Eagle Nest, New Mexico Fourth-of-July parade when the stallion reared up, toppled over backwards, and crushed Jim. This folder has: 1.) The 2-page handwritten first draft of my eulogy. 2.) A typed version of the eulogy. 3.) Two color Xerox photos of Jim riding the stallion that killed him. 4.) A church pamphlet for Jim's memorial service. (Pages in this file are numbered 1-6 at bottom of page.)

Access Restrictions

The collection is open for research, however, researchers must sign consent form prior to gaining access to materials. Calavera drawings, proofs, and etchings as well as "little diaries" (Boxes 14, 125, 126, 129, 142) are housed in high security and may require up to 24 hours for retrieval. Enlarged photocopies and typed transcriptions of "little diaries" in Box 142 are located in Box 184.
