LOUIS RIBAK, January 1980

 File — Box: 131, Folder: 1

Scope and Contents

6 typed pages. Louis, and his wife, Bea Mandelman, were well-known Taos painters since the 1940s. They became my friends soon after I arrived in 1969. Louis and Bea were best friends of Stephanie Sonora, my partner during the mid-1970s. A description of Louis' life and death appears in my non-fiction book, The Last Beautiful Days of Autumn. (Pages in this file are numbered 1-7 at bottom of page.) (See also RIBAK FILE, BOX 89, FOLDER 4 and the MANDELMAN-RIBAK FILE in my GENERAL CORRESPONDENCE FILES.) This folder contains my eulogy for Louis with many hand corrections.
