Drafted in 1942, sent to El Paso, Texas and Colorado for training as mechanic helper. Airborne training at Ft. Benning, Georgia. Assigned to 148th Quartermaster Outfit and sent to Saipan. Discusses effects of PTSD. Discusses being wounded. Describes battle at Saipan. Discharged 1945. (Note: The interview repeats beginning at 9:14.) Total 18:47.
