The principal strength of this collection is travel memorabilia.
The collection consists of travel ephemera from Europe, Alaska, Mexico, Central America, and the United States. Included are ships’ newsletters, passenger lists, menus, receipts, travel guidebooks, hotel bills, messages, accounts of gifts bought, retail vendor information, letters of introduction, tour brochures, train timetables, road maps, tourist maps, mileage charts, currency converters, journal publications, and souvenir realia.
Ephemeral documents are included from everyday life in California in the 1920s-50s, then Arizona in the 1950s-70s.
