Scope and Content

From the Collection: Collection contains portraits of Margaret K. Medler, her mother and her father, F.H. Kent, a group portrait of 7 young women of the Merry Go Round Club (c. 1895), including M.K. Medler and Mrs. O. A. Matson, and a curious photograph of 2 young women joking with Navajo men. Architectural photographs include the following buildings in Albuquerque: the F.H. Kent family home (10th St. & Park), the G.W. Gildersleeve Grocery Co., and the Armijo building (with a costumed child and burro in front). Interior shots include a stage production at the Crystal Theatre (1895) and the Bachelor Club Ball at the Commercial Club building (1896). Townscapes include: Rosita, Colo. (1877) and a bird's-eye view of "a mining town like Silver City." Prints are 25.5 cm x 35 cm. or smaller.
